'I Know It's Not Ideal': Djokovic Addresses His Knee Brace Amid Wimbledon's All-White Policy

Novak Djokovic appeared on the Wimbledon Centre Court in an outfit that was not all-white, and he was asked about it after the match.

Djokovic made his return to Wimbledon on day two of the tournament with a magnificent display and an easy straight-sets victory over Vit Kopriva. The Serbian underwent knee surgery three weeks ago, which is why he's playing with a knee brace; however, there is a problem.

Wimbledon has an all-white kit rule for all players that needs to be respected, but Djokovic's knee brace was not white. It was grey, prompting media members to ask him about it, and he admitted it was not an ideal solution.

He's trying to find a white knee brace, but ultimately, the tournament organizers gave him permission to play with the grey one, as it was necessary.

"I did check. I actually just met chairwoman just before walking onto the court. She gave me thumbs up, so it was okay. Of course, we did check in the days prior if we have permission. We're trying to find a white one, trust me."

"I saw Frances Tiafoe played, he had actually a black colour sleeve. Gray, I think it's maybe slightly better towards the white. I know it's not ideal. I like to go all white and I like to respect the rules. But I got the permission. I said to them that I will give our best for next match the white one."

Djokovic further added that he promised the event organizers that he's looking for a white knee brace, so there is a decent chance that he will appear in a full-white outfit in his next match.

"I told them that I'll give it our best to try and find for the next match the white one."
