Great practice yesterday. Getting ready for Mexico! 🔥
Cameron Norrie and Daniil Medvedev teamed up for some training on the French south coast, with the Brit later admitting he is a great fan of the Russian.
Players often team up for hitting practices throughout the year on tour, with friends and competitors joining forces to get the best out of each other before going into battle in respective tournaments.
This gives stars the chance to get the best out of themselves and each other, all the while preparing for the most important competitions in the calendar year.
One partnership that has not necessarily been seen much before is the one between Medvedev and Norrie. But that changed on the French Riviera when the Brit and the Russian hit during training.
Speaking about the combination in a recent interview, Norrie was full of praise for the Russian, even going as far as to explain just how much he enjoys watching Medvedev.
“I have been down in France with Daniil Medvedev and it’s been great. He’s my favourite player to watch. My coach is always messaging the best players to practice so hopefully, you may get more leeway with some of the top guys when you have some success."
He went on to talk about Wimbledon and his experience getting through to the semi-final for the first time in his career.
“Wimbledon was a very cool experience, making Wimbledon for the second week for the first time, and making it to the semis and having a tight match with Djokovic."
"Looking back there were a lot of positive things to take from it. The biggest thing is knowing I can do it at a Slams now."
Only time will tell if this practice session will bear fruits for the Brit in the coming weeks, with him searching to get his position in the rankings even higher up.
