After being an integral part of Team World's first victory at the 2022 Laver Cup in London, Felix Auger-Aliassime signed up to play in the 2023 edition of the event.

Besides being one of the best players from the Team World roster, Auger-Aliassime is also Canadian and with the 2023 Laver Cup taking place in Vancouver, his choice was never in doubt.

The event will run from September 24 to September 26th, and he will be there wearing the red of Team World, which was announced by the tournament organizers.

Auger-Aliassime is excited to compete at the Laver Cup again, this time representing Team World on their home soil, in front of his home fans in Canada.

"I’m really looking forward to being part of the Laver Cup again, we had an amazing time in London last year. We were able to get the win in London, but that was not easy."
"It will make a real difference to have the crowd behind us and I really hope fans come out in big numbers to witness Laver Cup firsthand."

There is no tennis event in Vancouver, so it will be a great chance for players to experience a hidden gem on the Canadian West Coast. Auger-Aliassime knows it and looks forward to the experience of being in such a beautiful city.

"Vancouver is such a beautiful city, it’s going to be a very special experience for me."

Auger-Aliassime first competed at the Laver Cup in 2021 when he was the highest-ranked player in John McEnroe's team. Still, he played only one match and wasn't able to deliver any points, as Team World lost 1-14 in what was the most lopsided edition of the Laver Cup ever.

Last year, however, he was nominated for three matches, and won two of those, with both wins coming on Day 3 of the event, starting Team World's comeback.
