Novak Djokovic asked the reporters at the 2022 Paris Masters to stop asking him about his son's tennis career, as he's still only eight years old.

Novak Djokovic's son, Stefan Djokovic, was seen playing during this year's Wimbledon Championships. For many fans, seeing the son of one of the most successful tennis players in history on the courts immediately meant that a second chapter of Djokovic dominating the tennis courts might follow.

Stefan has been following his dad's tournaments, and he's sometimes even seen supporting him in his player's box. That's also likely one of the reasons why, after his win over Maxime Cressy at the 2022 Paris Masters, Djokovic was asked about his son's relationship with tennis.

"Yes, of course. I said that for me it's the greatest source of motivation to see him when he watches me in a tournament or when he asks me to play, it's a very special feeling that I have never had in my life. So it's also interesting to feel or to hear what he says. When he's watching a match, it's very special."

While Djokovic admitted that his son likes tennis, having watched his dad succeed on the tennis courts, he also doesn't want to be asked about his career.

At the end of the day, Stefan is still only eight years old, and he might decide not to even pursue a tennis career. Djokovic doesn't want to put this pressure on him.

"But I don't put him under pressure. I don't put expectations on him. For me it's important for him to see tennis as a game, a sport that can help him develop physically, mentally, etc."
"But it's too early to talk about his career and anything else. It's too early. So please don't ask questions about his career. He's only 8 years old. So it's too early."
