It didn't look good for Novak Djokovic in his semi-final match against Jannik Sinner at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, but he battled back to win in five sets.

In the fourth round, Sinner stunned Carlos Alcaraz, and the young Italian wanted to continue in his charge also against the first-seeded Djokovic, who is the biggest favorite to win Wimbledon this year.

The Serbian had a great start to the match when he led 4-1 and 40-30, and it seemed that he would steamroll past his much younger and less experienced opponent.

Yet, Sinner managed to get the break back and level the score at 4-4. Not only that, the Italian player broke Djokovic's serve once more and he surprisingly won the first set 7-5.

The youngster didn't get carried away by winning the first set against the 20-time Grand Slam champion. Quite the contrary. Sinner improved his performance in the second set.

He was the better player on the court, and he broke Djokovic's serve not once, but twice, while avoiding being broken himself to win the second set of the match 6-2.

With a 2-0 lead, the win was very close for the 10th seed. But it's been almost five years since Djokovic lost a match at the All England Club, and he used all of his experience to come back.

In the third set, he didn't allow his opponent to have a single breakpoint and won it 6-3. He continued in a similar style also in the fourth set and won it 6-2 to level the score of the match.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion continued his one-man show also in the fifth set, completely outplaying his opponent since falling behind 0-2 to eventually win the match 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 and reach the semi-finals of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships.
