Alexander Zverev fans were given a boost on Friday after their man posted a video of him back on the tennis court.

The German hasn't played since his horror ankle injury in a bruising French Open semi-final against Rafael Nadal in June and there were fears he had suffered an injury setback.

The current World No.6 had hoped to take some part in Germany's Davis Cup Finals in Malaga but concerns about a bone edema, which could have kept him out for up for a YEAR, forced him to end his season in October.

But now there is renewed hope that the talented 25-year-old can come back strong in 2023 after he posted a video of him back on a tennis court hitting some balls.

Zverev took to Instagram to update his 1.8 million followers that he was back playing and recovering well - and that he would still be taking part in December's first ever World Tennis League in Dubai.

The event - described as 'The Greatest Show on Court - will take place between December 19 - 24 and feature some big names including Novak Djokovic, Nick Kyrgios and Aryna Sabalenka.

Zverev will be hoping to use the event to get some match fitness and look to return himself to the world's top five next year.
