Carlos Alcaraz will have a lot to worry ahead of ATP season finale as he got injured during his match against Holger Rune at the 2022 Paris Masters.

The 19-years-old Spaniard's participation at the final ATP 1000 event of the year was in doubt before it started because of his knee. However, after assessing it with doctors, Carlos Alcaraz proceeded to compete in the French capital.

"I had problems [to my knee]. Every player has problems at the end of the year. Not too serious," commented Alcaraz briefly to reporters ahead of the Paris Masters.

World no. 1 in the ATP Rankings reached quarterfinals in Paris, where he took on Holger Rune. After losing the first set 3-6 and reaching the tie-break of the second set, Alcaraz was forced to retire from the match due to an abdominal injury.

He will probably try to focus at the 2022 ATP Finals, where he's set to compete alongside likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic from November 13th.
