Following his brother's worrying-looking ankle injury, Mischa Zverev has his immediate reaction to seeing Alexander fall.
Working for Eurosport at the time of the fall, Mischa was there to see and hear firsthand the effects of his brother's injury.
Alexander Zverev collapsed to the ground in agony, with his screams being easily the loudest noise inside the stadium. With thousands watching on with bated breath, the German was forced off in a wheelchair following the fall.
Despite the fans inside Court Philippe Chatrier being understandably worried for the German, there were some watching on who are even closer to Zverev. Family members, including brother Mischa, were forced to watch on helplessly, hoping that everything would be fine.
On a shift at that time, former pro Mischa had to try and put into words what he was seeing, with Alexander's brother exclaiming the following:
"Sascha never cries! Something bad must have happened! That's impossible!. The ankle was gone. That was an angle, in that position nothing can stick. He couldn't get up. He was really screaming."
Following the chance to have gathered his thoughts a bit, Mischa added on in the show later on that same evening.
"You can't compare that with anything. When you are injured like Sascha is now, a piece of your life is taken away from you for a certain time because you can't walk, you can't be on the tennis court."
"But there are much worse situations, much more serious problems in the world today. Losing in the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament is the smallest problem. It's not even a luxury problem, it's pure luxury."
Mischa was, then, able to put some perspective on the whole situation. However, this does not take away how difficult it would have been to watch his brother take the tumble.
