The 2023 Zhuhai Championships returns to the ATP calendar, and the tournament managed to attract a very strong entry list.
Running from September 20th to 26th, the Zhuhai Championships will be held only for the second time. It was first held back in 2019, but since there were no tournaments held in China since then, the organizers had to wait for the second edition until 2023.
Now, it's here, and players are seemingly really happy to compete at the ATP 250 tournament in Zhuhai as the entry list is really star-studded. Daniil Medvedev was the first player announced and the Russian also leads the players' field.
In 2019, Alex de Minaur defeated Adrian Mannarino in the final, but this year, neither of the player will make their way to Zhuhai. On the other hand, the likes of Karen Khachanov, Cameron Norrie, and Tallon Griekspoor will all compete at the tournament.
Andy Murray was one of the players that took part in the event's first edition, but after beating Tennys Sandgren in the first round, he was stopped by the eventual champion Alex de Minaur in a three-set battle. In 2023, the Brit is coming again and he certainly eyes the title this time around.
Sebastian Korda is one of the youngsters in the field, but also players like Borna Coric, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, and Lorenzo Sonego signed up for the tournament. To see the full entry list for the 2023 Zhuhai Championships, be sure to check it out below.
