2022 Roland Garros ATP Draw with Djokovic, Nadal Alcaraz, Zverev

| by Zachary Wimer

The 2022 Roland Garros will be held from May 22nd to June 5th, and the star-studded field already knows the draw.

Following Rafael Nadal's wins in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, Novak Djokovic won the tournament in 2021 and will defend his title this year.

But it won't be easy for the Serbian, as 13-time Roland Garros champion Nadal will attempt to win his 14th Grand Slam title and 22nd overall. On the other hand, rising star Carlos Alcaraz will try to win his first Grand Slam title in Paris.

The first-seeded Novak Djokovic will kick off his 2022 Roland Garros campaign against Yoshihito Nishioka. In the second round, he could meet the winner of the match between Alex Molcan, who is coached by his former coach Marian Vajda, and Federico Coria.

Daniil Medvedev, who is coming back from an injury and is second-seeded at the event, will play against very dangerous Facundo Bagnis in the first round.

Rafael Nadal, who is the No. 5 seed in Paris, will play against Jordan Thompson. If the Spaniard wins, he will meet Corentin Moutet or Stan Wawrinka, who is the only player to win at the Roland Garros since the start of the Big Three dominance.

Alcaraz has yet to know his opponent, as he will play one of the qualifiers. However, in the second round, he could face Thanasi Kokkinakis or Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

Alexander Zverev, who showed great clay-court form this season and is third-seeded at the 2022 Roland Garros, will also start against a qualifier and could meet Dusan Lajovic or Sebastian Baez in the next round.

The fourth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas will begin against a difficult opponent as he will face Lorenzo Musetti.
