Social media tennis gossips have once again got online chins wagging after pictures of US tennis stars Venus Williams and Reilly Opelka sparked familiar rumours the pair are dating.
The Williams/Opelka buzz first emerged last year after they were frequently seen together, with one fan asking Williams directly on social media to spill the beans.
When asked on an Instagram Q&A if she and Opelka were in fact dating, Williams replied: "No, Reilly Opelka shot me down"
The latest speculation comes after both Opelka and Williams were snapped together alongside fellow tennis star Taylor Fritz.
He, alongside former NBA star and Caroline Wozniacki's husband David Lee, posed for photos with both Opelka and Williams.
This prompted one fan to write: "Venus is so in love with Opelka," while another wondered: "Shes really dating that man isn't she."
Earlier this year, Williams called Opelka one of her "best friends on tour" when asked by a fan which fellow tennis players she would invite for dinner. The five-time Wimbledon champion picked Opelka alongside her sister Serena Williams and ATP star Grigor Dimitrov as her dinner guests.
Those remarks will do nothing to quell the tennis gossips thirst for chitchat - whether it be true or not - and there is seldom story more loved in the tennis world than an ATP/WTA hook-up.
