Roger Federer and Serena Williams are both expected to be in the Tennis Hall of Fame class of 2027, which will be one of the strongest in history.

Serena Williams and Roger Federer might be in the same class if the criteria for induction into the Tennis Hall of Fame are met, which requires that a player remain out of competition for a number of years.

Both of them, along with Juan Martin Del Potro and Ashleigh Barty, retired this year, and all of them are definite candidates for the Tennis Hall of Fame. As tennis writer Ben Rothenberg noted, there is a case for Federer and Del Potro to be inducted one year earlier because neither player had an active year in tennis this year.

Regardless of what happens, the presentation in 2027 will be amazing. All four players had incredible careers, and three of them reached the world no. 1 spot and kept it for dozens of weeks.

Serena Williams is without a doubt the most accomplished female tennis player ever, having won 23 Grand Slam titles, while spending 319 weeks as the world no. 1 on the WTA Tour.

On the other hand, Roger Federer managed to win 20 major trophies, and a total of 103 ATP titles, while spending a total of 310 weeks as the world no. 1 in the ATP Rankings.

Ashleigh Barty and Juan Martin Del Potro didn't have so legendary careers, but they both managed to accomplish a lot, and among fans, they are some of the most liked tennis players.

While the Australian has decided to end her career early, the Argentinian player has struggled with injuries in the latter stages of his career, eventually being forced to end his career. All of them will soon be called Hall of Famers, a title they deserved for their contributions to the sport.
