Borna Coric has fed fire and fuel to the tennis gossip columns
around the world after he posted a cryptic message about
Donna Vekic.
Rumours linking a romance between the Croatian players have
long occupied tennis circles and social media and Coric did nothing to dispel such
tales with his Instagram post.
Vekic launched her interior fragrance brand DNNA in June
2021 and at the time said: “I want the design and fragrances to convey my
message, reminding us of fragility, but also to encourage people to never give
up. Every effort requires relaxation, every injury needs to be healed and every
stress must be relieved – that is exactly what my products are for.”
ATP World No. 26 Coric took to the social media platform on
Sunday to praise the Vekic brand and reveal he is apparently Vekic’s ‘style
icon.’
Under an image with Coric showcasing the DNNA brand, he
wrote: “It is not enough that you follow me wherever I go, now I bump
into your candles everywhere @donnavekic.
“The scent is great and the design simply amazing. I
know how much this compliment means to you coming from a guy who is your style
role model. Keep up the good work with your team @my_dnna."
Vekic replied with a love heart emoji.
The post attracted 5,632 likes and follow whispers that the
couple are dating after Vekic was pictured in the Coric player box during his impressive
run to the ATP1000 in Cincinnati in August.
Vekic, currently ranked at World No. 77 last featured
on-court at the Tallinn Open in September, losing to Belinda Bencic at the
quarter-final stage.
Her best Grand Slam result was at the 2019 US Open where she
reached the quarter-finals.
