Bianca Andreescu and Michael Venus enjoyed a lot of success in mixed doubles together, but they won't add to it at the 2023 Wimbledon.

Only a few weeks ago, Andreescu and Venus teamed up for mixed doubles at the 2023 Roland Garros in what was the Canadian's first experience with mixed doubles. It was a very successful debut as the two made it all the way to the final.

Although they lost in the final to Miyu Kato and Tim Puetz, the pairing was very happy with their performance, and Andreescu expressed the desire to compete in the mixed doubles also at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.

During the event, the Canadian experienced a lot of 'frustrating' waiting due to rain delays, and also her career-best result at the grass-court Grand Slam. But after the singles exit, Andreescu won't continue in the mixed doubles.

She isn't the reason for the withdrawal as the reason is Michael Venus' elbow injury. The 35-year-old is competing also in the men's doubles event along with Jamie Murray and probably similarly to Jessica Pegula who also withdrew from the mixed doubles event, he chose his priorities.

It's one of multiple withdrawals from this year's mixed doubles event at Wimbledon as Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas were also forced to pull out. While for Andreescu missing out on possibly another fun event may be disappointing, she will want to focus on the positives from this year's Championships.

"I mean, right now, I definitely feel very upset. I'm trying my best not to say something that I will regret. But if I really think about it, I mean, there are a lot of positives. Like I basically almost lost yesterday."
"And to be able to have an opportunity today to play again against a top player on Centre Court at Wimbledon, it's a dream come true. There are a lot of positives. I'm really feeling my game today at least. And yesterday obviously, but, you know, having that lead and just from start to finish, just feeling good, is very important to me. So I'm glad I had that."
