Swiatek levels Serena's 34-match winning streak as she reaches Roland Garros final

It seemed like an another easy day in the office for Iga Swiatek who defeated Daria Kasatkina in an hour and 6 minutes to reach the final of the 2022 Roland Garros.

The young Pole made a minimum of mistakes on the court today as she hit 22 winners compared to only 13 unforced errors. On the other hand, her opponent struggled with errors as she made 24 what was later reflected on the result. After 66 minutes, Iga Swiatek won 6-2, 6-1 and reached her second final at the Roland Garros.

Going into the first semifinal match, the world number number 1 was a great favourite and it showed. After both players traded breaks in the first four games, it was a one-woman show in the first Roland Garros semifinal as Swiatek won 16 out of 19 rallies to win the first set 6-2.

In the second set, Swiatek continued with a dominant performance as after both players won their opening service games, the young Pole won 20 out of 23 points what guaranteed her an easy 6-2, 6-1 victory. In the final, she will take on the winner of the match between Coco Gauff and Martina Trevisan.
