Iga Swiatek is the latest high-profile athlete to join Team Visa ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The Team Visa initiative supports athletes with financial help, charity work, mental health and educational resources. In addition, the organisation has assisted over 600 professional athletes with various resources and over half of the recipients are female.

Swiatek has joined the brand, which will be a main sponsor at the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, and the Polish player's profile on and off the court matches the philosophy of Team Visa to support societal matters and equality. When reflecting on the new partnership, the WTA world number one explained why the opportunity appealed to her.

"I started my career in tennis at a young age and even if I’m still learning, I’m trying to use my voice and become a role model for other young people."
"Joining Team Visa with so many incredible athletes will help me continue to advocate for what’s important to me, advancing the sport and social issues that matter most to me.”

Regularly, Swiatek has spoken out about equal pay in men's and women's tennis and she has participated in events that raise funds for people affected by the war in Ukraine. In addition, the women's world number one has risen to stardom in professional tennis following an unprecedented development in the sport over the past three years.

Frank Cooper III, the Chief Marketing Officer at Visa, shared his delight at having Swiatek as part of the brand moving forward.

"The world has borne witness to the exceptional talent that Swiatek showcased early in her career, and we are proud to welcome Swiatek to Team Visa and champion all that she stands for. Swiatek is an example of what hard work and dedication can do to achieve your dreams, while inspiring the next generation.”
