Serena Williams, one of the greatest players of all time, has recently been baptized as a Jehovah's Witness.

Previously, the American has spoken about her desire to get more involved in the faith but had never fully committed to it. According to reports, Williams has been studying the religion for some time and decided to take the next step by getting baptized. Williams is known for her strong faith and has often talked about the role that religion plays in her life.

In the past, she has made it clear that her faith is important to her. During an interview with Vogue in 2017, the 23-time Grand Slam champion said:

"Being a Jehovah’s Witness is important to me, but I’ve never really practiced it and have been wanting to get into it. Alexis didn’t grow up going to any church, but he’s really receptive and even takes the lead. He puts my needs first."
