Emma Raducanu is a person who enjoys adrenaline, with racing being one of her favorite sports to watch and recently she was able to experience it up close.
Raducanu has been a racing fan ever since she was little, and she's talked about it a few times, mentioning the Formula One documentary and how she rarely missed a race.
Recently, while being back in England to recover from her back injury, Raducanu spent some time in Kent, United Kingdom, at the Brands Hatch circuit watching a race from the Porsche Carerra Cup.
Only a few months after winning the biggest title of his career, when she overpowered all of her opponents to win the 2021 US Open as a qualifier and rise to tennis stardom, the Brit is struggling with an injury.
She competed at the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, taking on Canada's Bianca Andreescu in her opening match at the Italian Open, but she wasn't able to complete the match because of an injury.
Losing 2-6 and 1-2, the tenth seed was forced to retire from the match, and therefore, she now has some time to spend outside of the tennis courts, something many tennis players don't get to do during the season.
As a result of her US Open triumph, Raducanu has been sponsored by Porsche and the car manufacturer invited her to the race. Raducanu was able to watch it up close and inspect some of the cars as well.
The Brit even got to sit in one of the cars and was also pictured with the race winner, Will Martin. While enjoying her life away from the court, Raducanu will soon have to focus on her tennis again. The 2022 Roland Garros is right around the corner, and she will want to make an impression at the event.
