18-year-old Coco Gauff will play her first Grand Slam final at the 2022 Roland Garros after she defeated Martina Trevisan in the semi-finals.

It's been a great week for Gauff in the French capital as she has yet to lose a set at the 2022 Roland Garros and will play her first Grand Slam final.

Shortly after the semi-final match started, the young American settled with the umpire and Trevisan that her opponent's grunting was unacceptable. After that, the match could continue without any further issues.

Trevisan was one of the lower-ranked opponents that Gauff faced on her way to the final and it showed on the court as she was dominant almost the whole match after a nervous start.

Both players traded their service games at the beginning, but after the first six games were played and the score was 3-3, the young American won 12 out of 14 points and won the first set comfortably 6-3.

She was able to expose her opponent's serve really well. Although Trevisan hit her first serve 67% of times, she won only 39% rallies after her first serve, and after her second, the Italian player won only one out of nine rallies in the opening set of the match.

In the second set, Gauff was even more dominant when she hit 10 winners and made only five unforced errors, and already, after an hour and 26 minutes, she could celebrate a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Trevisan improved her serving in the second set, but so did the American player. She lost only three points on her serve in the entire set, which helped her to secure the win.

In the final, she will play against the World No. 1 and currently the most dominant player on the WTA Tour, Iga Swiatek. The young Pole triumphed without losing a set in both of their previous meetings and will try to extend her winning streak to 35 matches on Saturday to match Venus Williams' record.
