'I Will Take Anything At This Point': Andreescu Desperate To Win A Tournament

Bianca Andreescu isn't having the best season, but the Canadian firmly believes in her ability and the capability to play at a high level consistently.

The Canadian certainly flashed her potential more than once since winning the US Open in 2019. The issues for her were injuries for a very long time as she struggled to remain healthy for a prolonged period of time. No matter how skilful you are, if you're not playing consistently, you're going to struggle.

This year she's mostly been able to play. However, she hasn't played very consistently. The most recent match in Washington saw her get annoyed with a fan as she was losing. She's shown a lot of frustrations on the court this year which tells you all you need to know. Speaking to Canadian media recently, Andreescu confirmed that she still believes in herself.

I definitely believe that my level is top 10 and I am still a Grand Slam champion. In a way, every time I lose, it’s like that person’s beating a Grand Slam champion. I always have that in my head.

There is a big desire to do well from Andreescu, who joked that she would take anything at this point. Any tournament win, anything resembling her old self, would be great for her, but she's going to have to work for that a bit more, but there is time. Andreescu understands that time is on her side as she's only 23.

Any frickin tournament, I will take anything at this point. Obviously at home would be even better but I will take anything. I have no doubt. I feel really good at the moment and maybe now’s not the moment but I definitely feel that it will come. I’m still 23, I plan to hopefully play, if everything’s good and I’m healthy, until at least 30 years old. So I have a few chances.
