Emma Raducanu's historic feat at the 2021 US Open meant she was featured in the sports section of the 2023 Guinness Book of World Records.

2022 was not an easy year for Raducanu. She struggled for consistency and also endured many fitness issues. However, those problems were understandable after the sudden and unexpected high at last year's US Open.

Radcanu had to come through qualifying to reach the main draw because of her low ranking. Former British No. 1 Tim Henman recalls how well she was hitting the ball in practice after progressing to the main draw.

Although the Briton's practice sessions were impressive, no one predicted that Raducanu would win her maiden Grand Slam. She did that without dropping a set, completing one of the most unexpected moments in tennis history.

Raducanu hopes to be more physically ready for 2023 after finding the grueling tennis calendar tough in 2022. Andy Murray suggested that she hire a strength and conditioning coach to avoid repeated injuries.

The 20-year-old has not done that yet and seems content to keep her team small. Time will tell whether that decision was right or if Raducanu should have listened to Murray's advice.

Regardless of what Raducanu achieves throughout the rest of her career, she will always be remembered for her heroics at the 2021 US Open. That makes broader recognition inevitable for several years.

Raducanu's inclusion in the sports section of the Guinness Book of World Records demonstrates that point. It is one of the highest-selling books sold each year, and the Briton featuring shows how well-known she is to people worldwide.

The former US Open winner will hope her incredible achievement is not her only Grand Slam success. Raducanu proved she has the talent to win major titles, but finding that magic again could be challenging.
