Carlos Alcaraz confirmed that he feels almost unbeatable on the tennis courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden after further extending his win streak in the Californian desert.

In the world of sports, there is rarely someone who would be unbeatable. Even Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps lost races, even though there were certain periods when they probably looked unbeatable. Even Rafael Nadal lost matches at Roland Garros. And Alcaraz lost in Indian Wells in the past.

The young Spaniard lost already in his first match in 2021 when Andy Murray stopped him, and in 2022, Rafael Nadal proved to be better than Alcaraz in the semi-finals of the first ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season.

Since then, however, no one else managed to beat the man from Murcia at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Alcaraz won the tournament in 2023, and he also won it in 2024. Now, he has reached the quarter-finals this year, extending his winning streak in Indian Wells to 15 matches already.

To his opponents, the five-time Grand Slam champion might seem to be unbeatable, and what might be even scarier for them is the fact that he also feels like it.

Alcaraz was asked about whether he felt unbeatable in Indian Wells after his fourth-round win over Grigor Dimitrov, and he confirmed that he felt really well in the conditions in the Californian desert.

"Well, probably, I mean, I don't know. I don't know which one I can compare. I don't know. Every time that I play here on this court, I just feel great the conditions here, the court, the balls."
"I think every day, there is a little bit of wind which I like playing with. So I think everything suits pretty well to my game, to my style. I have time to reach the ball when I'm defending. I have time to make good positions to attack during the points."

Alcaraz was also asked whether there was another place where he feels similarly unbeatable, like he feels in Indian Wells. He admitted that he feels good at home in Barcelona and Madrid, but he couldn't compare it to Indian Wells.

"If I have to compare this court, this stadium, to the one I feel really well or the one I feel like unbeatable, I don't know, probably in Spain. Barcelona, Madrid, which I love playing there, as well. But I don't know. I just love here (smiling)."

The 21-year-old player will have a chance to confirm his invincibility at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden already in the next round. His opponent will be Francisco Cerundolo, and the two-time champion will have a chance to extend his win streak to 16 matches.
