Top 5 Favourites To Qualify For ATP Finals Including Rune, Zverev & Sinner

| by Sebastian Dahlman

The ATP Finals in Turin are inching closer, and we have a few players fighting to book their spot there; find out who they are below.

The ATP Finals has always gathered the best tennis players in the world, showcasing the best of the sport. One of those editions in the Italian city was won by Alexander Zverev, who is not certain to be there this year. Well, at least not yet, even though he has a pretty decent chance to make it significantly more likely later on Tuesday.

He'll face Roman Safiulin in the Chengdu final, and if he wins, he'll earn himself a nice 250 points in total. Those that don't have to worry much about their place there are few, but they shall not go unnamed. Novak Djokovic has been sensational this year, and he'll be in Turin. Carlos Alcaraz, who won the Wimbledon, will also be there.

And finally, Daniil Medvedev will also be there, hoping to avoid the bizarre event he had last year. That leaves five places up for grabs, so who has the best chance to be there? Jannik Sinner is currently ranked 4th in the race and will likely give the native crowd something to cheer for.

He finally won a big event in Toronto and hopes to bring a similar level to Turin as well. Stefanos Tsitsipas rarely missed the ATP Finals as a beacon of consistency, but he's in danger this year. There haven't been many highlights in his year, but if he finishes strongly indoors, which he generally does, he'll have a chance to be there.

Andrey Rublev is also likely to find himself there, but he needs a few good performances to secure his ticket. There is optimism there, even though his recent play at the Laver Cup wasn't that impressive.

Some other players who have a chance to be there are Holger Rune, who narrowly missed out last year, Taylor Fritz, who played in Turin last year, and Casper Ruud, who was there.

An ATP 500 Event in Beijing is coming up, and then the Shanghai Masters after that. The list might look vastly different after those events, so stay with us for daily updates.
