Serena Williams will continue playing tennis this season as the legend confirmed her participation in Toronto and the US Open.
Williams made her return to tennis in England by playing two grass events. She looked quite decent but the lack of playing time clearly impacted her in the match against Tan where she threw away a possible victory. Now, she's looking to continue playing on the hard surface which could be good for her because the US Open has a very fast surface and a combination of her serve and forehand could do a lot of damage there.
To better prepare for it, her husband Alexis Ohanian had a special court built for her that mimics the surface at the US Open in order for Williams to get completely used to the conditions that will await her at Flushing Meadows.
A fan tweeted about it and her husband Alexis Ohanian confirmed it's the same surface as US Open. Perks of being able to do that I guess.
