Stefan Djokovic has a super dad in
Novak Djokovic, but even so, he seems to like other players like
Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal.
The story about the son of Djokovic preferring the play of Rafael Nadal to his father's is well known, with Djokovic jokingly explaining that he was heartbroken about it more than once. It seems like his allegiance is not just with Nadal but also with Daniil Medvedev, as eagle-eyed tennis fans spotted something very interesting recently.
Stefan was in Paris watching his father lift his 23rd Grand Slam trophy, and it was a glorious day. The youngster joined his father on the court after the match, getting a chance to play with the trophy.
He proved more careful than Iga Swiatek with it, as he didn't drop part of it, but eagle-eyed tennis fans also spotted him wearing a hoodie that had the logo of Medvedev's collection on it.
The Russian recently came out with his own logo in cooperation with Lacoste, and it's a pretty interesting one, showcasing Medvedev's love for gaming.
It's shaped as a button pad of a PlayStation controller with letters alluding to Medvedev's name. It features a D for Daniil and an M for Medvedev, and two double 'i's that he has in his first name.
Stefan's hoodie had that logo on it, which was interesting to see. It shouldn't be a major surprise, as Djokovic himself is sponsored by Lacoste, so there is a connection there.
Stefan was also sporting Medvedev trainers, which seems to indicate that he really likes him. As for Djokovic, he addressed his kids during the ceremony.
"I would like to say a few more things, please. My kids are here and I always try to convey some values, some messages, something that they can learn from, something that they can draw some inspiration. And I really hope, judging by their smile, I think they’re enjoying it."
