Novak Djokovic has been in a league of his own recently as he kept his winning streak that started back at Wimbledon.
The Serbian couldn't find an opponent to beat him on the ATP Tour for quite some time already, as the only player who bested Djokovic was Felix Auger-Aliassime at a Laver Cup, which is an exhibition event.
Djokovic's streak started at the Wimbledon Championships. He then won the Tel Aviv Open and the Astana Open, and now, he's on a three-match winning streak in Paris as well.
In total, the Serbian hasn't lost in 19 consecutive matches. His 19th win came in the French capital when Djokovic recorded a dominant victory over Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals.
Despite dominating recently, the former ATP World No. 1 player is aware that he can lose any time, which is how he also approached his winning streak.
"No one is unbeatable, but I've had plenty of success on this court and I think every single year that I come back, the confidence level is higher. I just like the conditions, even though they are different from last year. I think I adjusted very well."
"Right from the start, I was really playing my best tennis in the first match, and I continued doing that. Hopefully I will not derail myself and will keep going in the same direction."
In the semi-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament, Djokovic will play against Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek player is seeded higher than the Serbian at the 2022 Paris Masters, so the 21-time major winner expects a proper challenge.
"I need to show the same consistency. I have weapons that I can use. But in the past I feel I have used too much spin or power. It’s important that I stay at a medium level and not overdo it. It will be a physical match, and I will need to move well."
