Rafael Nadal's comeback will be one of the ongoing storylines this year in tennis, and for many, it will also be the' feel-good' story.
Nadal made his comeback to tennis at the Brisbane International not long ago, and while he performed really well, an injury stopped his comeback after only a handful of days.
The injury is not serious, and Nadal will be back soon, but he did miss the Australian Open, which was unfortunate. There are many of those who feel really good about his chances, though, as the Spaniard was named by a few players as the likely 'feel good' story of 2024.
Sitting down with the ATP, players made their predictions for this season, including which player will likely have the 'feel good story'.
Rising talent Alex Michelsen, who recently had solid experience at the Australian Open, was among the players who picked Nadal.
"I think one feel good story would be Rafa coming back and playing and doing well at the French Open."
Another player who picked Nadal is Arthur Cazaux, a very talented youngster who ousted Holger Rune from the Australian Open.
"I think Rafa. It can be a good story for him and for everybody, for tennis."
Milos Raonic battled Nadal during his peak days, and he was happy to see him get back. For him, Nadal's journey was the pick as well.
"I think a lot of people would love to see him do well, obviously. It was nice to him play well right at the beginning in his first tournament."
Another player who picked Nadal is future tennis media member Christopher Eubanks, who had a lot of great things to say about Nadal.
"I think his comeback will kind of, will allow fans to have a moment of just appreciating his greatness, appreciating his hard work and everything taht it took to kind of be able to get back and I think that will be a feel good story for all of tennis."
