Carlos Alcaraz has recently put a strong case forward for being the future of men's tennis, but Goran Ivanisevic has warned against predicting the Spaniard becoming the greatest of all time (GOAT).

While the 'Big Three' of Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal, and Roger Federer have, all together, lifted a staggering 63 Grand Slam singles titles, young Carlos Alcaraz of Spain is yet to find his first.

Despite being on a near-certain path to glory at one of the big four tournaments in the upcoming seasons, he has, in recent months, picked up performances when it has mattered most, causing a lot of pundits to predict it will be him at the helm of men's tennis for the foreseeable future.

The youngest player to break into the ATP Top 5 since Rafael Nadal, the boy from Murcia cannot stop winning at the highest level. Having said that, there are some people who believe that this form does not guarantee a glittering future.

Speaking in an interview with 'Nova TV', Novak Djokovic's coach, Goran Ivanisevic, warned about rushing to conclusions, explaining how hard it will be for him to become the greatest player of all time, purely thanks to the overwhelming legacy of the current Big Three.

"I don't need to waste any words on everything that Alcaraz has done this year. He is impressive, everyone predicts that he might be the best of all time, but it's hard to predict because Djokovic, Nadal and Federer have done a lot."

Going on to praise the next generation of talent that we undoubtedly have, Ivanisevic made sure to predict world number one status for both Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

"When I see the draw, we certainly have the future number one in the world, Alcaraz, as well as Sinner, who will be one of the leading tennis players in the world."
