'How Many Conversations You & I Had?': Kyrgios Hits Out At Journalist After Saying He 'Dislikes Him'

Nick Kyrgios is a very active social media user, and he blasted a journalist for suggesting that he doesn't like him because of 'what he heard.'

The Australian has always been a very polarizing figure in the tennis world, and while plenty like him, plenty dislike him too. There are multiple reasons for that, but it's not different than for any regular person. He's gotten pretty used to it by now; however, one thing that has never changed with him is his dedication to speaking his mind.

He did just that recently by responding to a journalist who said that he didn't like him. The whole interaction took place on X, formerly known as Twitter. The interaction saw journalist Scott Barclay admitting that he went from liking to disliking Kyrgios over time.

Which tennis player have you changed your opinion of dramatically over time? For me, it's Nick Kyrgios. Used to love him and defend him religiously, now everything I hear about him makes me dislike him just a bit more.

Kyrgios obviously didn't miss that, as he's very active on social media, and as you can imagine, he responded to Barclay by suggesting that he doesn't know him and reading about him might not be the best way to judge somebody.

Kyrgios responds to Barclay

The journalist simply responded by answering what he read about Kyrgios and it was a story of him pleading guilty to assault. He added: What part of this am I misreading, Nick? There hasn't been an immediate response by Kyrgios and likely won't be.

It was a very public case back home in Australia, and while he pleaded guilty, Kyrgios avoided conviction.
