Famed tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou recently built his ultimate tennis player but has now updated that version with more categories.

Mouratoglou is best known as the former coach of Serena Williams, helping her win several more Grand Slams in the latter stages of her career. He wasn’t particularly well-known before that but rose to prominence during his association with Williams.

Since then, he has worked with a couple of rising talents, including Holger Rune and Coco Gauff, both of whom trained at his academy in the South of France. He’s also become somewhat of a celebrity on the tennis circuit through his social media activity.

In one of his posts recently, Mouratoglou built his ultimate tennis player, choosing different attributes from the Big Three, among others. He famously omitted the forehand because there was always going to be a part two.

The second part has now arrived, featuring an updated version of the ultimate player, according to Mouratoglou. This time, he added categories like most talented, best athlete, best footwork, and, of course, the forehand, which was missing in part one.

He chose Stefanos Tsitsipas for the best forehand, which might surprise many, but Mouratoglou has been on record expressing his admiration for it. Unsurprisingly, he chose Roger Federer as the most talented player, while attributing the Swiss Maestro also the best footwork, alongside Daniil Medvedev.

The Frenchman also named Nadal as the most intense player, which goes along with the 'biggest fighter' category he previously assigned the Spaniard. Djokovic, on the other hand, is the most athletic player, according to Mouratoglou.

It’s an interesting mix of characters, but Mouratoglou certainly knows tennis. His track record of helping players improve is vast, and he seems to command a good amount of respect as well.

Patrick Mouratoglou's Ultimate GOAT:

Attribute Player
Best volley: Roger Federer
Best serve: Nick Kyrgios
Best return: Novak Djokovic
Best backhand: Novak Djokovic
Biggest fighter: Rafael Nadal
Most talented: Roger Federer
Best forehand: Stefanos Tsitsipas
Footwork: Daniil Medvedev / Roger Federer
Most intense: Rafael Nadal
Most athletic: Novak Djokovic
