Novak Djokovic will begin his 396th week at the top of the men's rankings and kept his 2,240-point gap over closest rival Carlos Alcaraz.
The Serbian continues his break from tennis and will rejoin the tour at the start of the Paris Masters next week. Alcaraz's absence at this week's Swiss Indoors in Basel means that the deficit at the top will remain the same with just two more ATP tournaments to play between them.
Movement for the rest of the Top 10 is between Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz, who both suffered setbacks in qualifying for the ATP Finals. Zverev, who lost in the first round in Tokyo, drops down to 10th, while Fritz, whose title defense in the same tournament ended with a wild defeat to Shintaro Mochizuki moves up to ninth.
21-year-old Ben Shelton climbed highest among the Top 20 players. The American lefty won a maiden ATP title at the Japan Open and makes his Top 15 debut, rising to a career-high ranking of No. 15. There is a Top 20 debut for Chile's Nicolas Jarry who benefits from Lorenzo Musetti dropping out.
Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik re-enters the world's Top 30 after capturing his second title of 2023 in Antwerp, while Aslan Karatsev rises to 37th following his runner-up finish in Tokyo - his best ranking in over a year. Denis Shapovalov continues his downward spiral, losing five spots, and sitting in 50th spot.
It's been an October to remember for Tomas Machac. The 23-year-old Czech has won two Challengers this month and reached the quarterfinal in Stockholm as a lucky loser. He climbed to a career-high ranking of No. 74. Another player who enjoyed a dream week in Stockholm was Pavel Kotov.
The 24-year-old Russian reached his first ATP final at the ATP 250 but fell just short. However, he is rewarded with a place in the world's Top 100 at a personal best ranking of 81. And the man who was better than everybody else in Stockholm was Gael Monfils. The 37-year-old turned back time once again and collected his 12th ATP title.
Five months ago the Frenchman was on the cusp of a Top 400 exit with injuries scuppering the final phase of his career. But he has re-entered the Top 100 by winning his first ATP title as a father. Matteo Berrettini is another player whose 2023 season has spiraled out of control.
The big-serving Italian drops to 90th in the ATP rankings and is unlikely to play again this season. But fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli continues his ascent. The 21-year-old's runner-up finish at the Olbia Challenger is sufficient to earn him a place in the Top 100 for the first time.
