Daniil Medvedev played another great match at the 2022 Los Cabos Open to beat Cameron Norrie and win his 14th career trophy.

Medvedev played superb tennis all week long to find himself in the final of the tournament in Los Cabos. As the top seed at the event, he had a first-round bye, but he then didn't have a single problem when dispatching his opponents one after another.

First, he beat an Australian qualifier Rinky Hijikata, before besting Ricardas Berankis. In the semi-finals of the competition, the Russian player bested also the fourth-seeded Miomir Kecmanovic to set up the final meeting with Cameron Norrie, who also player great tennis at the event.

As the third seed, he also had a first-round bye, starting with a straight sets win against Chun Hsin Tseng in the second round. He then beat also Radu Albot, and despite losing a set against Felix Auger-Aliassime, he bested the Canadian to reach the final.

In the final match itself, the Russian player was the first one to break, but he allowed Norrie to come back. Medvedev then broke his opponent's serve again but stumbled at 5-4 when serving for the first set.

He still did not panic as he broke Norrie once more to win the first set of the match 7-5. It was just a display of how dangerous Medvedev on hard courts really can be.

The Russian can play like a wall, and it can be incredibly hard to win any kind of rally against him. His opponents really need to play as well as they can, and Norrie was able to keep that up only for a while.

As competitive as the first set was, the second set wasn't. Medvedev broke Norrie's serve early, and he added two more breaks to win the match 7-5, 6-0, securing the 2022 Los Cabos Open trophy.
