Felix Auger-Aliassime moved into the 2022 Florence Open final with win over the third-seeded Lorenzo Musetti.
The 22-years-old Canadian is fighting for the eighth and last spot in the 2022 ATP Finals as it seems that first seven are secured. Five players already sealed their qualification and Russians Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev are in a very good position to do so. Therefore, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz and Hubert Hurkacz have to fight for every point to get the remaining spot.
The Canadian is showing his fighting spirt at the 2022 Florence Open when he already reached the final. After beating Oscar Otte and Brandon Nakashima, he took on Lorenzo Musetti who was heavily supported by the home crowd.
Both players started the match well as they were very solid on their service games. But that didn't last long as Auger-Aliassime managed to get two breaks and win the first set 6-2.
The Italian was hoping to turn the score around in the second set, but he got broken once again and never got a chance to break back as Auger-Aliassime won 6-2, 6-3 in an hour and 24 minutes to set up a final meeting with J.J. Wolf.
