The Rotterdam Open, one of the most prestigious indoor tournaments on the ATP Tour, will return for its 51st edition in 2024.
The 2024 Rotterdam Open will run from February 12th to 18th and will feature a 32-player singles draw. This tournament is part of the ATP 500 series and is a staple following the conclusion of the first Grand Slam of 2024.
Once more, the spectacularly constructed Rotterdam Ahoy will be the venue. Historically, this tournament is synonymous with assembling an incredible list of top stars, including Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka, who have each won in Rotterdam in the past.
In terms of talent and world-class names, this year is no different. Six of the current Top 10 players have signed up to play at the Rotterdam Open. The lineup is spearheaded by defending champion Daniil Medvedev, who will attempt to become the first man since 2020 to retain the title at the event.
Medvedev will face stiff competition from Jannik Sinner, whom he defeated in the championship match 12 months ago. But the Italian has won their last three head-to-head matches in a row coming to 2024. The 2021 champion, Andrey Rublev, will return to Rotterdam for the eighth time.
Holger Rune will hope to have coach Boris Becker in the stands for the first time this year. The Dane enters the field as the fourth seed. Poland's Hubert Hurkacz is a perennial hard-court threat, but his record in Rotterdam is not the best. He'll attempt to address it in 2024.
Alex de Minaur, who is the newest member of the world's Top 10, is a two-time quarterfinalist at the tournament. He will be the sixth seed. Grigor Dimitrov and Ugo Humbert round up the seeded positions. Four players, two of whom have been confirmed, will receive a wild card into the tournament.
One of them is home player Botic van de Zandschulp, while the other is former champion Gael Monfils. At least four more players will join from the qualifying round on the weekend preceding the main draw. You can check the entire entry list down below.
