For the first time in her career, Coco Gauff finished in Top 10 of the WTA Rankings in both singles and doubles. However, after qualifying for the 2022 WTA Finals, the season finale was quite opposite to what she expected.

First, the young American lost all six matches that she played at the WTA Finals and then, after a 23-hour journey from Fort Worth to Glasgow in Scotland, Gauff lost deciding match against Katerina Siniakova at the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

Because of these losses, the end of this season may be something that Gauff will want to forget as soon as possible, but she certainly shouldn't forget how successful her 2022 season was. She played her first Grand Slam singles final and entered Top 5 of the WTA Rankings. Concluding her season, teenager wrote:

"We live, we learn, but mostly importantly we keep trying. 2022 season is officially over and definitely one I’ll never forget. Thank you God for strengthening me at my lowest and highest points this season," Coco Gauff wrote.
