The most recent WTA Rankings show significant changes both inside and outside the top 10, as players like Raducanu and Halep made moves.
Due to an injury, Simona Halep was forced to withdraw from Cincinnati, and she slid to number 7 in the rankings as a result of that. In advance of what could be a crucial fortnight for her at the US Open, Emma Raducanu has risen a little in the rankings, and she is now ranked number 11.
Caroline Garcia made the biggest increase this week, moving up 18 spots to number 17 after winning Cincinnati. The Frenchwoman's ranking hasn't been this high in five years, but it follows a run that also saw her win the Warsaw and Bad Homburg trophies.
Ajla Tomljanovic recently played some excellent tennis, and she is now back in the top 50. Angelique Kerber was one player who went the opposite way; she saw her ranking fall outside the top 50 due to her difficulties this year. She had strong performances in the US Open before so she might be in for more some good news finally.
