Coco Gauff will be one of the contenders for the 2024 Roland Garros, and her outfit for the tournament has been revealed.
WTA stars like Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka recently unveiled their kits for the second Grand Slam of the season. Gauff's clothing sponsor, New Balance, won't be left out of that conversation.
The Boston-based sportswear giant recently commemorated its annual celebration of Grey in May by dropping a grey colorway of Gauff's signature shoe for the tournament.
Gauff will wear a grey matching outfit for Roland Garros. It consists of a sleeveless top with a collar and a zipper. The 20-year-old will wear a grey pleated skirt with a black waistband.
The outfit was shared on X (formerly Twitter), and the US Open champion joked that she forgot what it looked like when interacting with her fans on TikTok Live.
In the video, Gauff explained that her clothing sponsor had created multiple sketches of her outfits for upcoming editions of the French Open, but she mixed up the designs and was unsure which one it was ahead of the official unveiling.
"I low-key forgot what my French Open outfit looks like. It's coming tomorrow, I think it's grey. They showed me a lot of sketches... I know what stuff looks like 3-4 years from now and I get them mixed up. I forgot which one is actually for this year, but I'm pretty sure it's gray."
Gauff is the number three seed at this year's tournament. She will play a qualifier in her opening match. By the end of the tournament, she can conquer three milestones, including the World No. 2 ranking.
Having fallen short of that distinction in Madrid and then in Rome, the Atlanta native can surprise Aryna Sabalenka in the standings and has been tipped to do well by former ATP player Alex Corretja.
