From October 31st until November 7th, the 8 best WTA players in singles and 8 best doubles teams will meet at the 2022 WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.
After the events in China were suspended, a decision was taken that the 2022 WTA Finals will take place in the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth and so players won't have to make a long journey from the last WTA 1000 event of the year that takes place in Guadalajara in Mexico.
Iga Swiatek was the most dominant player of the 2022 season and therefore there it is no surprise that she headlines the field. In singles, she's followed by two-time Grand Slam finalist in 2022, Ons Jabeur and Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula that will compete also in doubles together.
Caroline Garcia, Aryna Sabalenka and Daria Kasatkina all sealed their spot during the 2022 Guadalajara Open and the last spot was decided during the semifinal match between Maria Sakkari or Veronika Kudermetova.
While the Greek player won and will travel to Texas to play singles, the Russian will also travel to Fort Worth as she qualified in doubles alongside Elise Mertens. Other qualified pairs in doubles include Gabriela Dabrowski and Giulina Olmos as well as the defending champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova.
Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko will also compete at the 2022 WTA Finals and they can meet Yifan Xu and Zhaoxuan Yang in their group. The seventh qualified pair is Demi Schuurs and Desirae Krawczyk as there's one more spot left in doubles as well.
