2022 Nottingham Open WTA Entry List - Raducanu, Kenin, Cirstea, Giorgi & more

| by Nurein Ahmed

The 2022 Nottingham Open is a WTA grass-court tournament that will take place from June 6th to 12th, and the entry list has been revealed.

Held in the lead-up to Wimbledon, WTA players will get a chance to transition from the clay of Roland Garros to the grass of the British summer and adapt to the weather.

Former World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty is one of the players who won this tournament in the recent past but won't add to her trophy cabinet after returning from professional tennis earlier this year.

The same applies to 2021 champion Johanna Konta, who hung up her racker at the end of last year. That means France's Caroline Garcia (winner in 2019) is the only former champion in Nottingham who appears on this year's entry list.

There will be plenty of British interest at this tournament, with 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu set to feature as a wild card along with compatriots Sonay Kartal and Jodie Burrage.

Harriet Dart and Heather Watson will also play and can count on home support to excel. Greece's Maria Sakkari is the highest-ranked player in the field.

Veterans Camila Giorgi and Alize Cornet also have a well-proven pedigree on the surface and will be contenders for the title. Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia has been in good form of late and will be determined to bounce back from her disappointing French Open campaign.

The long list of players also includes names such as Sorana Cirstea, Ajla Tomljanovic, Camila Osorio, Donna Vekic, Tatjana Maria, and Shuai Zhang. They will all fight for 250 points and a nice share of the prize money. Be sure to check the entry list down below.
