Only a few days ago, Stefanos Tsitsipas challenged Nick Kyrgios for a "revenge match" and the Australian quickly accepted the offer.
Every tennis fan will likely remember the fourth-round match between Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas from Wimbledon in 2022. During the game, the Greek player struck a ball that left the court and struck a spectator and his rival asked for a disqualification.
However, it didn't occur, as Stefanos Tsitsipas repeatedly attempted to strike his opponent throughout the match, as he later acknowledged at a press conferece. However, Nick Kyrgios appeared to be handling the match calmly and ultimately emerged as the victor.
Even so, the Australian declared following the match: "Whatever happens on the court, stays on the court. I love him, I'm close to his brothers." But there was little affection between them when Tsitsipas referred to him as "a bully". First, the Greek shared a picture on his Instagram profile where he cynically used newest tattoo quotation of his opponent as a caption.
Then, when asked about playing doubles in one of the interviews, Kyrgios responded: "We've got a lot of doubles, and we have doubles in DC, which I'm extremely happy about. It couldn't get much worse than having Stefanos (Tsitsipas) as a partner there, can it?"
Therefore, it is clear that Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas are not currently best friends. In a trailer for Tennis Channel's Dear Friend, world number 6 was sitting on a grass court and conveyed a message to the Aussie: "Nick Kyrgios I challenge you to come here we play a rematch. Mr. Kryrgios please come to Costa Navarino I'd like a revenge match and no talking this time."
It didn't take long before the 2022 Wimbledon finalist responded by sharing the video on his Instagram story and adding a caption stating: "Done. Let's get this revenge match going. When and where and how much." Now, fans await the response from the Greek player to see if he was just joking or being serious.
