Novak Djokovic will return to North American hard courts for the first time in two years at next week's Cincinnati Masters donning vibrant blue colors.
Images of Djokovic's official outfit for the US Open summer series have been swirling around social media after they were officially released by Djokovic's clothing sponsor Lacoste on their Facebook page. Djokovic is also reportedly set to don the same colors of shoes from footwear sponsor Asics.
The outfit's name is US Open Blue and it has varying shades of blue and light blue, almost turquoise-like to an extent. The outfit comes in pairs, one will spot a dash of white and the other light blue on the upper arm through to the back, and with trims of yellow.
"Back to America in style. Meet Novak Djokovic's kits for the US Tour."
Djokovic missed every single tournament on US soil since the start of the 2022 season due to his unvaccinated status against Covid-19. Djokovic missed the spring and summer hard-court swings last year and had a vaccine wavier request rejected by US authorities earlier this year before Indian Wells.
But after the US Senate voted to end the public health emergency against Covid and subsequent lifting of all restrictions, including vaccine mandates for foreign travelers, Djokovic will be free to fly to the United States later this week.
Canada lifted its Covid-19 restrictions last October. But Djokovic won't participate at this week's Canadian Open, in consultation with his team, he elected to take more rest time to recharge his batteries after losing the Wimbledon final.
Djokovic's absence in Toronto could jeopardize his chances of usurping Carlos Alcaraz from the top spot in the rankings. If Alcaraz ends up winning in Canada, then Djokovic would be unable to wrestle the number ranking in Cincinnati next week.
