"I didn't feel anything today" - Djokovic excites fans with injury update

Every time Novak Djokovic plays a match at the 2023 Australian Open, fans are waiting for an update about his injury after the match.

After beating Alex de Minaur, the 21-time Grand Slam champion was asked about his left hamstring once again in front of the packed Rod Laver Arena, and everyone in the crowd hold their breath for a second before he answered. However, once Djokovic spoke, the crowd erupted in excitement.

"Well, I think tonight it wasn't obvious that I was dealing with an injury. I didn't feel anything today, so today, it was great. I thank my medical team, my physio, I thank God and anybody that really helped me. But I don't want to celebrate too early, because I know that things can change really quickly."

The Serbian spoke more about how competing in Melbourne with an injury in the past helps him at this event, he said:

"You don't know really what is the degree of an injury until you play a competitive match. You know I've been taking a lot of pills these days and it's not ideal, that I normally don't like taking. I don't want to go too deep into it, because today was the best day of the tournament, and hopefully it stays that way."
