2023 Hamburg European Open ATP Entry List - Zverev, Ruud, Musetti & more

| by Zachary Wimer

The 2023 Hamburg Open is the first ATP 500 event after the third major of the season and the entry list reflects that.

From July 24th to 30th, players will meet on the clay courts in Hamburg, Germany, at the event that is often called the Hamburg European Open. It's an ATP 500 tournament, and it's also the first one after players switch from the grass courts back to clay and hard.

Last year, Lorenzo Musetti stunned Carlos Alcaraz in the final to win his first-ever ATP title, and the Italian will be back to defend it in 2023, but yet again, he will face a field of clay-court specialists on his title defence.

Two-time Roland Garros finalist, Casper Ruud leads the field of clay-court specialists that will compete at the 2023 Hamburg Open. Three-time Roland Garros semifinalist Alexander Zverev will be another as he'll want to break the curse of not playing really well on home soil.

But there will be many more players that can be considered contenders. Francisco Cerundolo is certainly one of them, and the likes of Jan-Lennard Struff, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Tomas Martin Etcheverry will also throw their names into the mix.

Moreover, Miomir Kecmanovic, Sebastian Baez, Emil Ruusuvuori, and veteran Richard Gasquet will also make an appearance at the ATP 500 event in Hamburg. To see the full entry list for the 2023 Hamburg European Open, be sure to check it out below.
