Serena Williams and Venus Williams were among the many celebrities spotted at the Formula One race in Miami, where they also spent some time with their friend Lewis Hamilton.
The inaugural Formula One race in Miami was a star-studded event, and Serena Williams and Venus Williams were among those attending. The two were spotted in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team's garage, supporting their good friend Lewis Hamilton.
Both players are currently spending some time away from the tennis courts, so it's not surprising that they found time to support a fellow athlete, who was fighting on the track to record his first race victory since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
However, despite the support from his friends, Hamilton couldn't get close to the win at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix. After qualifying sixth, he was beaten even by his teammate George Russell, who was starting from 12th place, as both Mercedes drivers placed fifth and sixth.
The race was won by Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who was followed by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Both Williams sisters seemed to enjoy the race, as they had arguably the best seats in the house.
Only recently, Williams and Hamilton were among the investors attempting to buy Chelsea FC, a British football club. And it was in April this year, when Hamilton publicly talked about Williams, saying the two are good friends.
After supporting their good friend on the race track, the Williams sisters will be hoping that he will be able to return the favor sooner or later when they step onto the tennis courts.
Fans haven't seen Serena on the court since her first-round retirement at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, while Venus made one more appearance after last year's Wimbledon in Chicago, but she, too, has been away from the tennis courts since then.
