Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios have been two of the most entertaining and talented tennis players in recent years.

They have faced each other several times on the court and every tennis fans surely remembers their meeting from the 2019 Citi Open in Washington, when Kyrgios brought his opponent a pair of shoes from his coach and father Apostolos.

However, it seems that their relationship has taken a turn for the worse, especially after their meeting at last year's Wimbledon, as Tsitsipas has recently claimed that Kyrgios broke their relationship.

In a recent interview, Tsitsipas stated that he didn't do anything to break the relationship, but it was Kyrgios who caused the rift between them. The Greek tennis star was referring to their match at Wimbledon in 2022, where he felt that it was Kyrgios, who made the drama, despite the Greek hitting one of the fans in the stands. Later, Tsitsipas also admitted that he wanted to hit his opponent with one of his smashes.

“He was the one who broke our relationship. I didn’t do anything. In 2022 Wimbledon I was only trying to compete, while he was playing the clown. It also depends on how he wakes up each day.”

It seems that the relationship between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios has taken a hit, from which it may never recover. While both players are incredibly talented, it remains to be seen if they can reconcile and get back to playing against each other in the same friendly manner as they once did.
