"Main goal is to play ATP Finals" - Djokovic on plans for rest of season

Novak Djokovic will play quite untraditional tournaments for him and after the 2022 Laver Cup, he spoke about his choices.

The 21-time Grand Slam champion is trying to attend the 2022 ATP Finals and since he may not have enough points to be among the 8 highest-ranked players in the ATP Rankings, he may enter in another way. Novak Djokovic is a Grand Slam champion in 2022 and that is something that gives him advantage over his opponents.

If the Serbian stays within Top 20 of the ATP Rankings, his Wimbledon triumph qualifies him for the 2022 ATP Finals and so that's currently his goal. Despite being currently ranked 7th in the world, he will drop 1000 points from his Paris triumph, unless he defends his title and so it's important for Djokovic to be sure he will stay in Top 20 even if the tournament in Paris doesn't go well.

"My main goal is to play the ATP Finals. I know I have to be in the top 20 and now I am 15th or 16th. I decided to play in Tel Aviv and Astana, then Paris and I hope Turin."
