Jannik Sinner crossed a $4 million mark in prize money thanks to his latest win at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters.
The Italian player has been much better than the rest of the opposition in 2024, and it's not shown just by his position in the rankings and trophy count, but the prize money earned over the 2024 season also reflect that.
Already ahead of the first ATP Masters 1000 tournament on clay, Sinner had earned more in 2024 than Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Stefanos Tsitsipas combined showing, he's really been in the league of his own.
Ahead of the Monte-Carlo Masters, the 22-year-old earned a total of $3,978,338, with $3,961,288 coming from singles and $17,050 from his doubles play, with a total of $21,021,773 earned over his tennis career.
With his second-round win over Sebastian Korda, the reigning Australian Open champion ensured that he would get past the $4,000,000 mark, as reaching the third round in Monte Carlo pays 80,065€.
After the win, however, Sinner was focused on his own performance, saying that even the scoreline suggested differently, 6-1, 6-2, that it was a challenging match that he was happy to win.
"Today was very important trying to move the ball around. Was not necessary to play with the heights of the ball but more about the movement. So I consider this as a very good win, because it was a tough match."
Up next, Sinner will take on Jan-Lennard Struff, and his main aim is to improve on clay, as he didn't have a big success on the surface before, but also, because he had a short time to prepare for it.
"You know, you see the scoreline, but, you know, the match is a little bit different. I'm just happy, and hopefully I can still improve in the next days feeling even more comfortable with this surface and with my movement. Then we'll see how it goes."
