Frances Tiafoe enjoyed the best weeks of his career and he also used a lot of energy during his 2022 US Open run.

That's also one of the reasons, why a new Top 20 member won't travel to Scotland to represent his country during the group stages of the 2022 Davis Cup. Moreover, U.S. Davis Cup captain, Mardy Fish can't travel because of COVID-19 and so he will be replaced by Bob Bryan.

With a new coach, the American team will include Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Jack Sock and Rajeev Ram as the 2022 US Open semifinalist, Frances Tiafoe won't play at the event. After a tough five-set loss that ended his sensational run, the American said:

“I just proved that, honestly, I can play with the best obviously, and I'm capable of winning Grand Slams,” said Tiafoe. “I think everyone knew when I play my best what I could do. But you know how close I can actually be to be one of those guys and to do this consistently."
