Félix Auger-Aliassime joins Emma Raducanu as Dior ambassador

Canadian No. 1 Felix Auger-Aliassime has been signed by fashion house Dior to be a brand representative of the French company.

Dior have pedigree when it comes to tennis players, with Emma Raducanu being the tennis face of the fashion house since shortly after her stunning win at the 2021 US Open. The British No. 1 is the face for Maria Grazia Chiuri's women's collections as well as for skin care and make-up products.

Dior's latest acquisition was announced in a Tweet last week, with the fashion house writing that the 22-year-old and ATP star "embodies the spirit and timeless signature of the Dior men's creations by Kim Jones".

While this will come as exciting news for the young Canadian's business portfolio, Auger-Aliassime has had a mixed bag of a year so far on the court.

The current World No. 9 has yet to reach a final this year, having fallen in the fourth round at the Australian Open.

He will be making his first appearance of the clay-court season at the Madrid Open this week, where he be looking to make a statement about his chances at Roland Garros.

Despite the latest announcement from Dior, the grounded Canadian will know he has a lot of work ahead of him if he is to emerge as a threat to the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and the other leading clay-courters in Paris.

Last year, Auger-Aliassime made the fourth round before losing to Rafael Nadal in a thrilling five-set encounter. This was played against the backdrop of Nadal's Uncle Toni being in Felix's box as part of his coaching team.

Despite a promising run last year, the 22-year-old should now be seeking to make further inroads at the business end of Grand Slams as he continues to establish himself as one of the world's leading players.
