Jannik Sinner is still the leader in the latest update of the 2024 ATP Race rankings, despite some significant movements.
The 2024 ATP Race rankings represents points earned only during the 2024 season, with the eight best players in the race ranking qualifying for the ATP Finals at the end of the year.
So far, the 22-year-old Italian has dominated the rankings, and he kept his lead also after the latest week of action, as he has collected a total of 3900 points so far, well ahead of the second Daniil Medvedev with 2550 and third Alexander Zverev with 1835 points.
His young rival, Carlos Alcaraz, who is seemingly dealing with an injury ahead of the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters, is fourth with 1700 points, while Alex de Minaur is fifth with 1495 and Grigor Dimitrov sixth with 1465 points.
None of the Top 6 competed last week, but Hubert Hurkacz did, and thanks to winning the title in Estoril, the Polish player moved to the seventh position, one spot ahead of Casper Ruud, who also improved, despite not defending his title in the Portuguese city.
Novak Djokovic is still only 13th, but another player who made a significant improvement is Ben Shelton, who won the title in Houston, and, thanks to that, moved up by six spots to the world no. 16 position.
Frances Tiafoe, who lost in the final, also moved significantly, up by 16 places to 26th, while Pedro Martinez, who played the final in Estoril improved by 17 positions to 24th.
Still, the mover of the week, like in the ATP Rankings, was Matteo Berrettini, who won the title in Marrakech, and as a result, he jumped into the Top 50 of the 2024 ATP Race, placing 49th after jumping up by remarkable 131 positions.
